Privacy Policy

This policy describes how NoStove, Inc. (“NoStove,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares personal information when you use nostove.com (the “Site”).
The short version: you can browse the entire directory without giving us any personal information. We only collect what you choose to submit — through our contact form, newsletter signup, review form, or business submission form — plus the technical data every website receives automatically. We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
1. Information you give us
- Contact form: your email address, the reason for your message, and the message itself.
- Newsletter: your email address.
- Reviews: your first name, last initial, email address, your rating and review text, and any photos you attach. Your first name and last initial are displayed publicly with your review; your email address is not published.
- Business submissions: if you add or update a meal delivery service listing, the business details you provide — business name, website, contact email and phone, and address.
2. Information collected automatically
- Usage data: pages viewed, links clicked, approximate location (city level), device and browser type, and referring site — collected through Google Analytics 4 in aggregate form.
- Log and security data: IP address, request details, and similar technical data processed by our hosting provider and by the security and content-delivery network that protects the Site from attacks and automated abuse.
- Cookies: described in our Cookie Notice.
Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and interaction data to distinguish people from bots. Its use is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
3. How we use information
- To respond to your messages and requests.
- To publish and manage the reviews you submit.
- To send the newsletter you signed up for (every email includes a way to unsubscribe).
- To verify and maintain business listings.
- To understand how the Site is used and improve it.
- To keep the Site secure and prevent spam and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
4. Who we share information with
We do not sell personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that run parts of the Site for us: our hosting provider, our security and content-delivery network, Google Analytics (aggregate usage statistics), and the services we use for spam protection, email delivery, and storage of review photos. Each processes data only to provide its service to us.
- Affiliate networks — when you click an affiliate link, the network (Impact, ShareASale, Awin, CJ Affiliate, or Ascend) receives standard click data so purchases can be attributed. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
- Authorities, when required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
- A successor, if NoStove is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case this policy would continue to apply to your information.
5. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: contact-form messages for as long as needed to handle the inquiry, newsletter emails until you unsubscribe, and reviews for as long as they are published. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see Section 7).
6. Security
We use reasonable organizational and technical safeguards to protect personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. We extend the basics to everyone: email [email protected] and we will show you, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, whoever and wherever you are. We may need to verify your identity first, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy right.
United States state privacy rights
If you live in California or another U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, those rights include access, correction, deletion, and portability. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information, and we do not process personal information for targeted advertising or profiling with legal or similarly significant effects. California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code § 1798.83) requests can be sent to the email address in Section 11.
Visitors outside the United States
The Site is operated from the United States and is intended for a U.S. audience; any information you submit is processed and stored in the United States. If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Canada, we process your personal information on the basis of your consent (which you may withdraw at any time), the performance of a service you request, or our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Site. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
8. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Do Not Track
Some browsers send “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control signals. Because we do not sell personal information or track visitors across other websites, the Site’s behavior is the same either way.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised, and material changes will be flagged on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means the revised policy applies.
